Im a big fan of grunge and creating grunge designs is one of the most interesting things to do in my opinion whether it be a web design or a piece of grunge art. I was browsing some old NME music magazines and i realised some of the advertisments for festivals and bands truly are works of art, they can provide some good ideas for any designer be it for web or print, lots of textures and colours to get some creative inspiration

An excellent resource for repeating background patterns / images, patterns such as these can be used for a host of things such as a web page background and blog backgrounds.

While looking for some nice resources i found some really cool online art and design magazines that provide some very interesting reading while i wasnt working, they contain alot of inspirational work and provide a good source of knowledge.

With the release of my 300+ hi-res grunge texture pack i thought id do a nice quick simple video tutorial to create a stunning grunge background using the colours from a photo on deviantart and a texture from the texture pack.

Here is a free Hi-Res texture pack that i have made over the weeks for you all to download, the pack contains over 300 grunge, worn, torn and weathered textures that i have taken in and around my house.

Flickr is a great tool but there are so many ways to view the images located on Flickr with these exciting mash-ups, some let you browse by specific colours while others let you browse by tags.
