This is the second attempt to get these textures on the blog, since i scanned them in months ago the electricity cut out while i was about to save them and i lost the scanned images! so ive sat down and got them all scanned back in for you.

These were created by soaking A4 pieces of paper in a tray filled with food colouring and then left to dry in the sun. The edges are most concentrated while the middle of the paper has a sort of tie-dye effect.

To create this wallpaper I actually followed a great tutorial by Fabio Sasso over at abduzeedo to create a realistic water effect in C4d, I took the idea a little further and added splashes and some crazy cool smoke textures by Caleb Kimbrough.

So i say these are ink, and they do look like ink but there actually food colouring / dye , they give the same effect pretty much , but i wanted to give them a watered down feel with strong pieces of colour in some places and lighter in others.

These 20 textures are also at a high resolution to cover most working areas and are ideal to be edited, such as colour adjustmets and cropping, as you can see i have changed the colour in the preview above to green.

I’ve been experimenting with tea bags and water to create some custom grunge stained paper textures, I wanted to see how different they would be from water colours but there’s not a lot of difference to be fair, I am going to keep experimenting any way, so this is the first batch and hopefully the next batch can bring some more refinements.
