Tessellation. According to wikipedia, a tessellation “is a collection of plane figures that fills the plane with no overlaps and no gaps.” Your webpage has a major flaw in the the tiled patterns listed on it look great as individual squares. But when the tiles are placed next to one another in a repeating pattern, because they are not tessellations, the square tiles easily stand out and ruin the effect.
