11 Great Photoshop Photo Effects Tutorials

I’ve tried to collect a few photo effects tutorials that are very much centred around one subject rather than a complete photo manipulation. If you don’t like the finished product I’m sure you’ll find some cool techniques to do certain effects in these tutorials.

Texture Lovers has some great free textures for use in your photo manipulations too.

these are great…if you’re into that whole “photoshop look”. I realize it’s a skill, but I find the whole style very unappealing.

Honestly, as a photographer, most of these look awful.
If you’re in the Ad World, they would be applicable.

For truly remarkable photographs of people, you should
resort to minor enhancements to bring out the beauty of
the person, not to invent something they are not.

well duh @mjt. They are not photographs, are they. They are images made from photographs. They are not meant to be photographs of people. Thought that was pretty clear from the whole article. Surprised you didn’t get it!

I think they are fabulous. Brilliant design and creation. Thanks.

Yeah, for a ‘photographer’ that is a pretty narrow minded way to look at it. Those are a completely different genre of work. Your right though, artistic innovation never got anyone anywhere…sike.
